Long Leaf Pine Needles are harvested locally (Carolina’s) with the goal being to produce a bale that contains little or no debris. The bales are large and tightly packed by hand. The color is vivid and bright. Long Leaf Pine Needles are sought after for their longevity and are rarely sold in big box stores. The majority of Pine Needles sold in the Charlotte, NC region are Long Leaf.
Short Leaf Pine Needlesare harvested in the Carolina’s, Georgia, Alabama, and Northern Florida. The bales contain little or no debris. The bales that we supply are tight and hand packed. Their color is more brownish. Short Leaf Pine Needles are less expensive as they are more readily available.
